Responsibilities
Excellent opportunity for anexperiencedneonatal nurse practitioner to join our dedicated group of eight neonatologists and team of NNPs providing highquality care at the Carilion Clinic Childrens Hospital (CCCH) in scenic Roanoke Virginia.**New graduates will be considered only if willing to relocate.**
- The hospital is a designated regional perinatal center with 3300 deliveries annually.
- Our 60bed LevelIIIB NICU has 700 admissions annually and an average daily census of 47 babies. Services provided include high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.
- There are two maternalfetal medicine specialists on staff and the hospital offers a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.
- As one of our NNPs you will provide inhouse coverage caring for critically ill neonates and attend highrisk deliveries.
- NNPs take ownership of their own team of patients (up to 20 with all acuity levels.
- The shifts are 24 hours with an occasional 12hour shift available.
Roanoke Virginia is located midway between New York NY and Atlanta GA and is 168 miles west of the state capital of Richmond VA. The city is the center of one of Virginias largest metropolitan regions and a hub of transportation finance and industry for the southwestern part of the state. The scenic beauty of the Roanoke Valley located between the Blue Ridge and the Virginia Alleghany Highlands makes the city a pleasant as well as an economically diverse place to live and work. Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a masters degree
