Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The CBP Workforce Wellness Program (WWP) is seeking a Wellness Coach to provide holistic wellbeing support stress management coaching and resiliencebuilding strategies for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel and their families.
The Wellness Coach will focus on mental and emotional wellbeing stress reduction mindfulness and worklife balance aligning with the Endeavors Wellness Model. This role aims to help clients develop sustainable wellness habits improve emotional resilience and enhance overall quality of life through personalized coaching group sessions and wellness education.
The Wellness Coach will collaborate closely with the Health Coach and Fitness Coach to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to workforce wellness.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and facilitate individual and group wellness coaching sessions focusing on stress management emotional resilience and wellbeing.
- Utilize motivational interviewing and positive psychology techniques to guide clients toward sustainable lifestyle changes.
- Lead wellness workshops and educational sessions on topics such as:
- Mindfulness and meditation techniques
- Worklife balance strategies
- Emotional intelligence and coping mechanisms
- Selfcare and relaxation practices
- Implement mindfulnessbased interventions including guided meditation breathing exercises and stressreduction techniques.
- Provide oneonone coaching to help clients identify stressors set wellness goals and develop action plans.
- Promote holistic wellness approaches incorporating mental emotional environmental and social wellbeing.
- Coordinate with external entities to enhance wellness programming workshops and events.
- Maintain accurate client records and track progress ensuring confidentiality and compliance with professional standards.
- Provide resources and referrals for additional wellnessrelated support when needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Fitness Coach to incorporate movementbased stress reduction and the Health Coach to support overall wellbeing.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications:
- Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) Preferred
- Well coaches Certification Preferred
- National BoardCertified Health & Wellness Coach (NBCHWC) Preferred
- MindfulnessBased Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certification Highly desirable
- CPR and First Aid Certification Required
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in a related field (Psychology Social Work Health Coaching Behavioral Science Public Health) preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two years of experience in wellness coaching stress management or mindfulness coaching.
- Experience working with first responders military personnel or highstress occupations is strongly preferred.
- Background in mindfulness practices emotional resilience training or holistic wellness strategies is highly desirable.
WORK LOCATION: CBP WWP Office
LICENSES: Valid Drivers License; must pass a criminal background check.
