Raytheons Receiver Exciter and BackEnd Processing (REBEP) Department is the focal point for receiver exciter beam steering and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design development integration and support to production builds and lifecycle support of Raytheon products.
We have an opportunity for a Senior RF Design Engineer who is seeking to utilize their academic background and professional experience in RF / Microwave system theory and design to help develop the next generation of Raytheons Radar Receiver Exciter and Transmitter products.
What You Will Do:
Design and development of transmitters receivers or exciters.
Design and optimization of RF circuits either chains of components (receiver exciter etc. or individual parts (filters limiters couplers etc..
Working with interdisciplinary teams power digital mechanical etc.
Schematic capture and RF routing.
Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
This 1st shift role will be 100 onsite and based in either Tewksbury MA or Marlborough MA.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior work experience.
Experience with Microwave / RF system subsystem and/or component analysis design and/or test.
Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required poststart. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with simulation tools such as ADS SystemVUE and/or MentorGraphics Xpedition.
Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements design and test specifications.
Background in designing for manufacturability producibility and cost constraints which includes yield and margin analysis.
Problemsolving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
Experience in cost and schedule management.
Experience in technical / proposal writing and oral presentations.
Technical background in any of the following areas:
Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
Filter design and fabrication
Circuit card assembly and fabrication
High speed data converter test / characterization
Low Noise RF source design and test experience
