Job Description
Position Summary
All Minnesotans deserve a safe place to call home. You can make a difference in your community by supporting people facing homelessness or housing insecurity.
Join Heading Home Corps as a Housing Resource Navigator and youll spend your days at a nonprofit organization or public agency that has a mission in housing advocacy social services and/or public assistance. Well train you to help individuals obtain safe stable housing and support you every step of the way!
How does it work Youll regularly meet with participants and provide guidance as they navigate resources set housingrelated goals and develop action plans. With individually tailored support youll help people as they build brighter futures!

Core Responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with participants
- Guide participants in creatng housingrelated goals
- Track participant progress
- Connect participants with social service resources and programs
- Commit to your own growth through training and professional development
Essential Qualifications
By the time you begin your service with Heading Home Corps you should be:
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking reading and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
- A citizen national or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
Schedule
We are currently hiring for the 202526 program year. Positions run September 2025July 2026.
- 40 hours per week
- Daytime hours
- Monay Friday
- Time off on holidays
Parttime positions are also available at 25 hours per week!

Pay & Benefits
Fulltime AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $17.25 per hour served and additional perks!
