Job Description
The Controllers Office Financial Reporting team prepares the universitys annual audited financial statements with assets exceeding $3.5 billion. We are seeking an ambitious and detaildriven accounting professional at the Accountant or Senior Accountant level to join our financial reporting team of six to:
1. Ensure the data integrity in lease accounting software related to leases and subscription based information technology arrangements.
2. Assist in the preparation of the universitys annual audited financial statements and specialized reports.
3. Prepare adjusting entries work papers footnotes and schedules by applying generally accepted accounting principles.
4. Research and implement new and revised accounting standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or businessrelated and/ or an equivalent level of training and experience directly related to professional accounting auditing or preparing audited annual financial statements.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience gathering analyzing summarizing and interpreting data.
Experience using automated systems and software such as Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements (GASB) pronouncements.
Previous experience in a higher education accounting environment.
Demonstrated experience working with query tools and large datasets (SAS Microsoft Access or SQL).
