Assistant / Associate Professor Health Programs
Board Eligible/Board Certified position involves inpatient and outpatient surgical patient care.
The Michigan State University division of urology seeks board eligible / board certified candidate for a full time Associate / Assistant Professor faculty position in the urologic surgery division. We have a growing clinical program that provides a broad range of opportunities for clinical practice teaching and research. The position includes a strong clinical focus on inpatient and outpatient surgical patient care with active participation in the clinical education of urologic surgery residents within an ACGME accredited urologic surgery residency program as well as education of diverse medical students at Michigan State University. Urology faculty provide clinical care and procedures in MSUs newly renovated office space. Inpatient care and surgical procedures are performed at McLaren Greater Lansing and Sparrow Hospital with optional ASC block time available. Both hospitals are fully equipped with stateoftheart urologic instrumentation including DaVinci robots with teaching consoles to support residents educational needs. Each hospital supports high volume urology case volumes. The MSU Division of Urology has an established clinical program that provides a broad range of opportunities for clinical practice teaching and research. MSUs health colleges (Osteopathic Medicine Human Medicine Nursing and Veterinary Medicine) collaborate to provide high quality medical care research and education. Doctorate Urological Surgery
DO or MD License in Michigan Board Eligible or Board Certified in urological surgery.
Leadership experience is desirable.

The Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties includes fulltime parttime and clinical faculty who contribute towards education research and clinical aspects of the surgical specialties. These include the divisions of anesthesiology general surgery obstetrics and gynecology (clinical and surgical) and urological surgery. The department trains osteopathic students for the practice of medicine and surgery by developing college curriculum through the organization of classroom hospital clinic and specialty programs that provide the highest quality education and role modeling.
