Compensation:In accordance with California law the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

About the Program:

  • Mental Health Services: Services range from Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services to Full Service Partnership (FSP). Services include individual family and group therapy; play therapy; therapeutic rehabilitation services; targeted case management; psychiatric assessment and medication management support services; and parent education and partnering.

Role Summary:Responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to ensure quality client care. Ensure documentation adheres to DMH standards. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to provide a healthy therapeutic and safe environment for clients.

  • Schedule:MondayFriday 10am7pm. flex Friday
  • Location: 155. N. Occidental Blvd Los Angeles CA 90026
  • This Therapist position will be providing services to communitybased clients and Transitional Housing clients 1824years of age who have transitioned out of foster care or juvenile justice system).
  • Incentive: This position is eligible for an incentive of $1500 paid after 3 months of continuous employment and a retention incentive of $1500 after 12 months of continuous employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide individual family play and group therapy for designated caseload of clients.
  • Utilize DSM for diagnosing. Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
  • Document client services in accordance with Department of Mental Health standards and Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Conduct visits to homes schools and or other service locations in the community in order to help client achieve their treatment plan goals.
  • Manage community and family crises involving children and parents.
  • Provide 24hour availability and crisis intervention on an as needed or regularly scheduled basis which may include weekends and evenings.
  • Maintain effective and professional collaboration with treatment team which includes: therapist facilitator child and family specialist parent partner and any informal and formal supports to the family to ensure quality client care.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling is required.
  • Active registration or licensure with California BBS is required.
  • Experience in InHome Services or work with highrisk children adolescents and their families.
  • Strong clinical skills in individual family play and group therapy are required.
  • Previous Wraparound Approach Services Program experience preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CA drivers license automotive liability insurance and a driving record acceptable to agencys insurance carriers.
