Senior Counsel Litigation
Position Summary:
This is a fulltime salaried position: Monday Friday 1st shift.
Hybrid expectation out of Somerset NJ
The Senior Counsel Litigation will be a key member of the Legal & Compliance Department responsible for supporting the management and oversight of Catalents broad range of litigations arbitrations and investigations on a worldwide basis. The Senior Counsel Litigation will report to the Senior Assistant General Counsel Litigation. The Senior Counsels primary business location will be in the corporate headquarters in New Jersey.
Our Somerset location is the corporate headquarters for Catalent Pharma Solutions. This location houses our stateoftheart laboratory clinical commercial manufacturing plant for oral dose forms in addition to being theCenter of Excellence for Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Role:
Support Catalents response to a broad range of disputed matters including complex contract disputes employment claims regulatory litigation insurance disputes and complex subpoenas
Actively manage the discovery process including preparing witnesses for testimony and lead eDiscovery efforts to ensure efficiency
Provide solutionfocused recommendations and legal strategy to business partners and outside counsel to proactively mitigate risk
Respond to administrative charges and other employment claims
Conduct internal investigations into allegations of compliance breaches or violations of the law or Catalent policy
Clearly and concisely communicate complex legal issues to appropriate
business and legal stakeholders for consideration and actionSupervise and work closely with outside counsel as needed to ensure outside counsels work is satisfactory costeffective and timely
Up to 10 annual travel expectations (domestic)
Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school required
Minimum 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience with a wellestablished law firm
Admitted to practice in the appropriate New York New Jersey or
Pennsylvania (inhouse admission is acceptable)Corporate legal department experience at a company in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries preferred
Individual may be required to sit stand walk regularly and occasionally lift 015 pounds
