Job Description

The QA consultant must be comfortable working in a fastpaced and demanding environment able to multitask across several issues simultaneously and possess strong interpersonal communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical resources alike.
Project Specific Responsibilities or Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in Retail.
  • Experience with Retail Merchandizing System (RMS) item maintenance and purchase order entry is preferred.
  • Experience with customer order entry receiving and shipping orders shipping manifests (customer/commercial invoices) is a plus.
  • Experience with an Order Management System (OMS) or an eCommerce/DirectToConsumer (DTC) system is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the QA team (developers business analyst business partners)
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop and execute Testing Strategy for the project
  • Develop test plan including a detailed testing schedule
  • Ensure adherence to IT Project Management Methodology for Validation (correct testing methodology/tools/reporting is used focusing on requirements and user test methodology to ensure fulfillment of business requirements and IT quality architectural and security standards)
  • Partner with the Business Analyst to review testability of requirements
  • Develop scenarios and test cases and upload test cases into HP ALM tool
  • Coordinate with the offshore test team for test case design & review
  • Lead daily testing defect meetings
  • Track and communicate the progress of System Integration and User Acceptance Testing on a daily basis
  • Identify mitigate escalate and communicate defects issues and risk
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration MIS/CIS Engineering or related field (required)
  • 5 years experience in QA preferably with a minimum 3 years in retail Merchandising
  • Ability to lead project team comprised of business and IT associates with strong interpersonal skills including collaboration facilitation leadership and negotiation skills with minimal oversight
  • Ability to create detailed test scripts based on a list of functional requirements and test scenarios and scripts from previous projects (if existing)
  • Ability to create EndtoEnd test scenarios from Use cases and Solution deign documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills to facilitate communications between and among highly experienced business and IT associates
