• Maintain a safe and positive environment at the facility.
• Explain and enforce rules to ensure the safety of swimmers and bystanders.
• Respond to emergencies and attend to swimmers at risk.
• Perform first aid procedures as needed.
• Maintain records and reports of incidents occurring at the pool.
• Establish and maintain relationships with students parents and/or guardians.
• Availability to work during evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
• Perform duties in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high.

• Have a high school diploma equivalent certification or be currently pursuing one.
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s). Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
• Must be reliable trustworthy and punctual.
• Must complete British Swim School Aquaticsspecific training and testing as needed.

• Experience working with children.
• Possess 12 years of swimming experience and demonstrate proficiency in the freestyle backstroke breaststroke and butterfly.
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience is preferred.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities most of our students are preschool and elementaryaged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. Its helpful if you have experience with children or in a childfocused job but its not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

In these roles you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool.
