- Location: High Point Medical Center Laboratory
- Shift Schedule: Full Time Evenings

Education/Experience/Certifications to Qualify:
- Bachelors degree and successful completion of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) Medical Technologist program five years clinical lab experience;
- Or two years clinical lab experience with Medical Lab Tech (MLT) certification
- Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred
- Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP certification required
Essential Functions:
- Performs and provides accurate laboratory test results on human patients.
- Prepares and issues blood components for patient transfusions.
- Assists in the collection and transport of patient samples from the clinics to laboratory sections.
- Handles hazardous materials in accordance with regulations to ensure safe working environment.
- Requisitions and maintains inventory of supplies materials and equipment as needed for laboratory operations.
- Supervises trains and reviews the work of students and lower level technicians engaged in clinical laboratory work.
- Operates complex specialized laboratory instruments; instructs other personnel in the use and operations of these instruments.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
