Job Description

Landmark Hospital of SW Florida has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dedicated and professional team supporting the medically complex patients under our care. The OT will provide assessments and partner with a COTA to deliver patient care.

Shift:PRN flexible hours

Summary:Responsible for the assessment planning implementation treatment and documentation of occupational therapy for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews medical history creates treatment plans and goals shows patients how to use adaptive technology
  • Assists patients with disabilities injuries or illnesses to recover and cope through the use of common everyday tasks demonstrates exercises to relieve pain and increase mobility
  • Provide appropriate care based on knowledge of specific conditions diseases and treatment therapies for specific patient populations
  • Assesses patients physical psychological social and educational needs to determine level and type of care
  • Develop and maintain current patient treatment plan to include patient problems goals and interventions
  • Delivers care based on acuity level identified needs and physician orders
  • Assesses collaborates and coordinates patients discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge
  • Assesses patient/family learning needs abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into the plan of care

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or PostGraduate degree (OT)
    • Current OT License (Occupational Therapist) for the state
    • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1year hospital experience critical care/acute care preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Team detail and goaloriented
  • Positive professional and empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
