Carpenters Helper/Laborer
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenters Helper to join our growingteam. This is an excellent entrylevel opportunity for someone interested instarting a career in the construction industry. The ideal candidate is eager to learnand gain valuable handson experience in the carpentry field. As a CarpentersHelper you will work as part of a team under the guidance of a Crew Leader and aJourneyman Carpenter.
General Responsibilities:
Assist on the Jobsite including measuring cutting and assemblingmaterials.
Support remodeling and restoration projects by preparing work areas andassisting with demolition.
Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks.
Help with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety andefficiency.
Follow instructions from lead carpenters to ensure project specifications aremet accurately.
Requirements:
Must live within 35 minutes of Asheville.
Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques.
Be equipped with a basic tool set.
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Experience with hand tools commonly used in carpentry work.
Ability to lift load and unload heavy construction materials
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Great attitude and willingness to learn new skills and techniques in thecarpentry field with an open mind.
This position will require a significant amount of driving so any candidatemust possess and maintain a valid NC drivers license throughout their employment.
Carpenters Helpers are required to own the following tools:
Tool belt Impact/ cordless drill (with batteries and charger) case of various screwdriver bits tape measure 25ft minimum) framing hammer handheld Phillips and flathead screwdrivers crescent wrench pliers speed square utility knife crows foot (nail puller chalk box torpedo level countersink Chisel carpenters pencil(s) sharpie marker nail set safety glasses and gloves
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay: $16$19/hour based on experience and skill set.
