DescriptionTo stimulate its further growth Willis Towers Watson Belgium is looking for a talented Claims Handler Marine (m/f) for its CRB (Corporate Risk & Broking) activities in our Zaventem office.
You will be working within the Claims department of WTW Belgium a team of specialists providing claims services & solutions to clients across the full range of our lines of business: Property Marine CAR Liability FINEX and SME/Fleet.
Claims services & solutions are a crucial and distinctive part of the broader WTW client proposition. Roles within Claims at WTW are both client and insurerfacing. You will be part of a global team of over 1400 claims professionals using your insurance expertise seniorlevel relationships data and insights to serve clients collaborate with insurers and drive innovation.
As a Marine Claims Handler you will handle Marine Cargo & Logistics liability claims as well as land and heavy equipment claims for our national and international clients. You will be working in a motivated diverse enthusiastic and customerfocused team.
The Role
- Managing and resolving claims by utilizing your insurance expertise and communication skills to achieve appropriate outcomes through collaboration with clients insurers experts and other relevant parties;
- Planning and leading meetings with clients insurers and other involved parties;
- Highlighting specific claims to senior colleagues that require executivelevel input and escalation;
- Staying up to date with the risks our clients face and evaluating and analyzing policy coverage;
- Maintaining a strong network of claims professionals;
- Collaborating closely with Broking and Account Management to provide feedback on claims insurer performance data and insights that support WTW in the ongoing development of products and services that best meet customer needs both now and in the future.
QualificationsThe Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in law or economics or equivalent based on experience;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch French and English;
- Strong knowledge of national and international trade regulations local laws requirements for (reverse) burden of proof and transport legislation;
- You can work independently and are detailoriented solutiondriven and customerfocused with a strong sense of responsibility. You adapt well to changing circumstances and maintain focus even in busy or demanding situations.
