Itron a technology leader in the energy and smart grid sector. The Distributed Intelligence product provides nextgeneration edge computing applications which will enable our customers to solve complex grid operations use cases.
We are looking for an embedded software engineer to join our team. You will collaborate with firmware and software teams to build endtoend solution requirements. Overall you will strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Completes complex critical software engineering activities and tasks including design analysis testing and documentation
Ensure quality of product with writing unit tests and helping develop functional test cases
Communicates with key stakeholders both internal and external to understand technical requirements
Required Skills & Experience
A Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering(any) Computer Science Math or a directly related field plus 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.
Software development on Unix system programming in C/C on an embedded system
Strong knowledge on objectoriented design
Preferred Skills & Experience
Knowledge of Python and SQL programming
Exposure to electrical engineering and machine learning
Experience working on agile software development processes e.g. SCRUM/Kanban/XP)
Design skills for resource constraints environment
