Job Description
This role is onsite MondayFriday at our facility in Northbrook IL.
Responsibilities
- Builds and/or adapts unique setup and test equipment for complex tests using independent judgment.
- Applies working knowledge of applicable test requirements and performs tests using general laboratory equipment.
- Performs routine care of designated test equipment and work area.
- Operates a computer to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
- Examines test samples reads measuring instruments and reviews test data with supervisor.
- Reads and interprets blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and operational instructions.
- Determines need for and seeks consultation from engineers or laboratory technicians.
- Analyzes test results.
- Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
- Receives instructions from and reports data to supervisor and personnel in engineering and laboratory operations as needed.
- Prepares data sheets and records observed or calculated test results.
- Assembles test data for appropriate distribution.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Higher Secondary Education plus one to two years related experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative.
- Desire to work in a teamoriented environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.
- Ability to incorporate computer skills into daytoday testing.
Pay Transparency Verbiage :
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimatedsalary range for this position is $42000 to $56000 and is based on multiple factors including jobrelated knowledge/skills experience geographical location as well as other factors.This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5 of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings 401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide fulltime employees with paid time off including vacation 15 days) holiday including floating holidays 12 days) and sick time off 72 hours).
