Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on array of equipment such as scissor lifts boom liftsand diesel engines.The role requires attention to detail adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in troubleshot mechanical hydraulic and/or electrical systemsand in various environments. You will work closely with the team members to have on going technical training to develop your skills and grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on a wide array of equipment such as scissor lifts boom lifts and diesel engines
- Opportunities to travel and train customers
- Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and/or electrical system
- Inspect equipment used by customers
- Conveys information to team members as appropriate
- Preside at trade shows coordinating business development and educating possible customers about the benefits of products.
- Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and incorporate the principles in dealings with customers and team members
- Meet or exceed the training requirements for selfdevelopment during the year
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Passport (Ability to Travel)
- Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets wrenches and batteryoperated impact gun)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment
- Willingness to submit for preemployment background check and drug screening
Preferred Skills:
- 5 years in a similar field
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Experience with mobile elevated work platformstype equipment
- Extensive knowledge of aerial equipment
- Ability to work in a teambased safety focused workplace
- Able to work in a fastpast environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand on concrete 8 hours per shift
- Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.
- Tolerable to heights
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic English literacyrequired
- Current Passport (Ability to Travel)
- Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets wrenches and batteryoperated impact gun)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment
