GENERAL DUTIES: The Industrial Electrical Maintenance/Mechatronics (IEM) Associate Instructor is primarily responsible for providing individualized theory and handson instruction to students. This position will teach adult and high school students in the IEM program in conjunction with the current IEM instructor to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include but are not limited to: manufacturing processes industrial safety blueprint reading technical math process automation quality inspection CAD/CAM electronics mechanical maintenance electrical motor controls hydraulics pneumatics robotics programmable logic controllers (PLC) instrumentation computer software and computer hardware skills AC/DC electrical machine tool and preventive maintenance. The Associate Instructor must monitor grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the colleges student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports and assist in recruiting new students and placement of graduates. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervise and followup on students participating in cooperative education. This position is fulltime and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Work schedule is a minimum of 37.5 hours per week on a set schedule from Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is not a remote work position. Anticipated start date August 2025.
SALARY: $55157$66188 per year $28.29$33.94 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and related experience.
