Job Title:Deputy Director (Faculty Instructor)

Job Summary:

The Deputy Director will serve as a strategic leader for the Ludeman Family Center for Womens Health Research (Ludeman Center). With a passion for womens health and the work of the Ludeman Center the Deputy Director will partner with the Director to manage the growth and development of the Ludeman Centers strategic initiatives programs and operations which have been created to promote and advance its strategic goals. Together the Director and the Deputy Director will lead a dynamic organization that includes Ludeman Center staff Community Advisory Board scientific leaders and university leadership producing impactful research mentoring education and outreach programs. The Deputy Director will also manage the Ludeman Centers finance function with support from the Lead Business Professional and oversight from the Director and will pursue a diversified and sustainable financial model through a mix of philanthropy and university support.

The Ludeman Center has been a cornerstone of research and career development excellence focused on developing and elevating the field of womens health and sex differences research changes in order to improve the lives of those we serve. We have a scientific council comprised of nationally recognized scientists to help guide our scientific agenda. We also have a community board which provides us with sage advice and counsel. Our small but mighty staff consists of 10 people funded by the Ludeman Center as well as an advancement officer funded by the university. We have funded and support 104 scientists over the life of the Center. In addition we have seven affiliated senior scientists at the Anschutz Medical Campus who are esteemed in their fields all of whom are passionate about womens health. Our return on investment is for every $1 spent we bring back $69 in terms of funding to scientists mostly from federal sources.
