Job Description

Summary


King County Metro Transit has an exciting opportunity for an Educator Consultant III to support our Organizational Health and Development (OHD) team in Employee Services. This position will report to the OHD L&D Manager within our L&D team and be part of the Learning and Development team responsible for supporting implementation of Metros Organizational Health and Belonging priorities.

TheEducator Consultant IIIwill be responsible for curriculum development coordination facilitation delivery and continuous development of Metrowide learning programs that allow employees to develop and thrive while ensuring a culture of wellbeing and belonging is fostered. The Metro Learning and Development team will collaborate closely with King County Human Resource Departments Learning and Development Team to replicate the central training portfolio and deliver and modify trainings as needed to meet Metros unique workforce needs.

Metro is King Countys largest Department employing over 5000 people who primarily work in the field of transit operations vehicle maintenance transit facilities operations and marine.

This recruitment may also be used to create a list of qualified candidates to fill future Special Duty Assignment (SDA) vacancies that may occur in the next six months.

Work Schedule
These positions are exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and are not eligible for overtime pay. Work schedule is normally Monday through Friday 40hour work week. Variations may be required depending on the demands and training needs of the work.

Work Location
The incumbent will have a hybrid work schedule and may work remotely and onsite. The primary onsite location is King Street Center 201 S. Jackson Seattle Washington 98104.

Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position is currently being performed in a hybrid fashion including teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

King County has a robust collection of
tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the departments hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

Licensing Certification and Other Requirements:
Travel to work locations throughout King County with limited or no public transportation services is required. A valid Washington State Drivers License is required to operate King County vehicles.

Some licenses certifications and other requirements determined to be necessary to meet the business needs of the employing unit may be required.

Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to be mobile and perform manual tasks including lifting materials weighing up to 20 pounds such as boxes of printed materials.
