Key Accountabilities

• Manage the overall operations/maintenance of the Railroad Department equipment and facilities to ensure cost effective and timely utilization of personnel equipment and other resources to support the mine/plant operations.

• Manage the development and of the rail delivery plans that ensure desired fuel quality and appropriate inventory requirements are met at the plant.

• Manage the development and of the rail delivery plans that ensure all coal combustion products are removed appropriately from the plant.

• Implement and enforce safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and increase employee safety awareness.

• Effectively interface with support staff and other Luminant superintendents to ensure consistent work practices and sharing of knowledge to optimize efforts in performing solid fuel delivery activities.

• Manage Railroad Department to comply with all environmental and regulatory statutes.

• Select develop and manage a diverse work force utilizing Company policy labor agreement and work rules to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all individuals.

• Participate in special projects and committee assignments as requested.

Education Experience & Skill Requirements

• Minimum Five 5 years proven supervisory/management experience.

• Eight 8 years experience in a related field preferred

• Knowledge of railroad operations equipment and track structures as well as applicable Company policies State and Federal regulations.

• Related experience that promotes development in the areas described by the major accountabilities and key competencies of this job.

• Computer skills demonstrated at a proficient level.

• High School diploma/GED required. Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Key metrics

Demonstrated leadership experience that promotes achievement goal setting and supervising diverse work groups.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets.
