Job Summary
This position is responsible for the supervision planning and scheduling of Railroad Department personnel equipment and other resources in a safe reliable efficient environmentally sound and costeffective manner to support the business unit performance measures.Job Description
Manage the overall operations/maintenance of the Railroad Department equipment and facilities to ensure cost effective and timely utilization of personnel equipment and other resources to support the mine/plant operations.
Manage the development and of the rail delivery plans that ensure desired fuel quality and appropriate inventory requirements are met at the plant.
Manage the development and of the rail delivery plans that ensure all coal combustion products are removed appropriately from the plant.
Implement and enforce safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and increase employee safety awareness.
Effectively interface with support staff and other Luminant superintendents to ensure consistent work practices and sharing of knowledge to optimize efforts in performing solid fuel delivery activities.
Manage Railroad Department to comply with all environmental and regulatory statutes.
Select develop and manage a diverse work force utilizing Company policy labor agreement and work rules to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all individuals.
Participate in special projects and committee assignments as requested.
Minimum Five 5 years proven supervisory/management experience.
Eight 8 years experience in a related field preferred
Knowledge of railroad operations equipment and track structures as well as applicable Company policies State and Federal regulations.
Related experience that promotes development in the areas described by the major accountabilities and key competencies of this job.
Computer skills demonstrated at a proficient level.
High School diploma/GED required. Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
Demonstrated leadership experience that promotes achievement goal setting and supervising diverse work groups.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets.
