Role Definition
Manages engineering for design and development of technologies components systems products or services.
Responsibilities
Managing staffing development and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
Providing specialised engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
Managing highimpact short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
Key Skills Required:
Planning: Tactical Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical 12 years) and strategic 35 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decisionmaking process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyse situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
Collaborating Globally: Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
Requires a degreein an accredited Engineering Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum and 10 years of progressive engineering experience or 15 years of progressive engineering experience.
