Job Description
Job Overview:
The Global Hydrogen division of Linde. is currently seeking a Production Technician for our HyCO Production Facility in Barberton OH. The facility produces carbon monoxide via Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) technology.
This positionrequires a combination of office work and field workas well as working outdoors in various weather conditions and working rotating shifts and weekends if needed along with callins will involve some overnight travel for training and working at other locations if required.
Under the routine direction of supervision you will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Qualifyonall plantoperations
- Startup and shutdown of processequipment
- Correctly and safely permitting maintenancework
- Use established procedures and assist in modifying procedures as
- Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics P&IDs and One Line Diagrams
- Have a working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel Word Power Point Microsoft Projects)
- Monitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operatingparameters
- Correctly performing valve lineups preparing equipment for maintenance work including lockouttagout
- Monitor and maintain proper water chemistry onsite
- Responsibilities require 8hour shift rotation oncall periods scheduled/unscheduledovertime and working alone.
- Effectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when
- Perform routine and nonroutine maintenance activities
- Calibration checks of plant equipment and instrumentation
- Troubleshooting equipment and processabnormalities
- Assist facility in supporting process training efforts PSM and environmental compliance documentation as well as maintenance activities associated with plant operations.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma; Associates degreepreferred
- 2 years Production/Operations experience or equivalent industrialexperience preferred
- Working extended hours and/or weekends holidays and callins may be required.
