Lead Practitioner for English September 2025 Hillingdon Secondary School

We are seeking a dedicated and forwardthinking Lead Practitioner for English to join a dynamic and welcoming team at a thriving secondary school in the heart of Hillingdon.

As a growing school with a closeknit English department we are looking for a professional with the passion and expertise to make a real impact in a leadership role. Lead Practitioner for English Role Details:

  • Lead Practitioner for English position

  • MPS/UPS Outer London TLR

  • Mixed nonselective highperforming secondary school

  • Permanent contract starting September 2025

  • Ideal for an experienced teacher ready for their first leadership role or a current Head of Department seeking a new challenge

Lead Practitioner for English Requirements:

  • Strong academic qualifications including QTS and at least a 2:1 degree in English

  • Proven success in teaching GCSE English at a high standard

  • Passionate about English and a track record of raising student achievement

  • Expertise in teaching at least one of the English subject areas to ALevel

  • Ability to enhance the profile of English within and beyond the school

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive continued success in the department

  • Ambitious for personal and professional growth as well as for the department and school
