Job Description
We are working on a newly created HR Supervisor role in the food manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for onboarding & recruiting employee engagement compensation benefits payroll and learning & development. This role will also consultant with corporate HR while also working closely with plant management.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to plant employees and management
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
- Lead local employee relations effort maintain employee engagement reinforce company culture and address employee performance issues
- Serve as the local resource for employee benefit questions
- Assist with payroll processing
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes benefits or company policies
- Administer new employee on boarding orientation
- Develop and maintain talent management process
- Collaborate with the HR leader to develop effective recruitment strategies
- Identify future staffing needs and assist in recruitment and hiring activities
- Maintain confidential employee personnel records
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality related to organizational changes
- Day to day office organization and general tasks
- Assist with purchasing for all departments
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in related field HR Organizational Psychology Business
- Previous experience in manufacturing grocery. Food preferred
- History of employee relations experience
- 5 years experience of HR generalist experience
- Past supervisory experience
- SHRM Certification preferred
- Cursory knowledge of federal state and local HR & payroll requirements
- Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems
- Strong understanding of HR legal precedents policies and practices
- Strong ability to build credible relationships with managers and team members across the organization
- Able to exercise sound judgement coaching influencing and conflict resolution skills
- Strong business acumen
