We are working on a newly created HR Supervisor role in the food manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for onboarding & recruiting employee engagement compensation benefits payroll and learning & development. This role will also consultant with corporate HR while also working closely with plant management. If you have strong HR generalist background and are detail oriented in admin duties please apply!
Location: Holmes County OH
Job Responsibilities:
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to plant employees and management
Maintain current knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
Lead local employee relations effort maintain employee engagement reinforce company culture and address employee performance issues
Serve as the local resource for employee benefit questions
Assist with payroll processing
Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes benefits or company policies
Administer new employee on boarding orientation
Develop and maintain talent management process
Collaborate with the HR leader to develop effective recruitment strategies
Identify future staffing needs and assist in recruitment and hiring activities
Maintain confidential employee personnel records
Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary
Maintain highest level of confidentiality related to organizational changes
Day to day office organization and general tasks
Assist with purchasing for all departments
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in related field HR Organizational Psychology Business
Previous experience in manufacturing grocery. Food preferred
History of employee relations experience
5 years experience of HR generalist experience
Past supervisory experience
SHRM Certification preferred
Cursory knowledge of federal state and local HR & payroll requirements
Proficient with MS Office and HRIS systems
Strong understanding of HR legal precedents policies and practices
Strong ability to build credible relationships with managers and team members across the organization
Able to exercise sound judgement coaching influencing and conflict resolution skills
