About Global Customer Success and Solution Architecture
As a Senior Solution Architect within Cognites Global Customer Success Organization (GCS) youll be a key player in our architecture profession. With offices in Austin Houston Oslo Stavanger Tokyo and soon Bengaluru our diverse GCS team includes Project Managers Data Scientists Data Engineers and Solution Architects specializing in Oil and Gas Power and Manufacturing. This role is part of the EMEA Delivery organization supporting customer and partner projects in MENA and SEA regions.
In this customerfacing role youll collaborate directly with key customers partners field sales delivery teams and product development. Leveraging your seniority and technical expertise youll lead international industrial customers towards increased productivity profitability reduced environmental impact and lower costs.
In this role you will work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes by recommending bestpractice cloud architectures aligned with their longterm needs. You will drive technical solution discussions diving deep into complex problems to craft scalable flexible and resilient cloud architectures.
Our clients are large international process and energy industries facing challenges in asset performance maintenance production efficiency and sustainability. Together with the team youll define solutions and guide each integration to successful completion.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead endtoend architecture and solution design.
- Provide strategic and technical expertise to support customer projects.
- Define enterprise and solution architecture including integration data models and data pipelines.
- Communicate complex technical solutions using architecture modeling tools.
- Ensure operational support for delivered solutions.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and drive product adoption.
- Train internal teams and partners in your specialization.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Product Management teams to align customer needs with product development.
- Independently manage integration data modeling and related activities using Cognite tools (connectors SQL Python/Java Rest APIs).
- Translate customer needs into product priorities.
The background you need to succeed in this role:
- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience in a customer facing role.
- 8 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience in developing technology solutions and evangelising endtoend technology roadmaps that guide IT transformation toward cloud computing.
- Prior experience in communicating across technical and nontechnical audiences including executive level stakeholders customers and internal facing teams.
- We expect all our solutions architects to be handson in python as well as a good handson expertise with software development best practices.
- Experience with data modelling
- Experience working with Data AI and Cloud technologies from a dev/ops perspective
- Experience within the oil and gas domain is a plus
