Job Description
- Hire train and assess the performance of workers
- Set production goals and devise a strategy to achieve them.
- Maintain the production schedule.
- Ensure that the products meet quality standards.
- Produce production reports.
- Analyze production data to improve efficiency.
- Control the layout of equipment and the flow of materials.
- Ensure that workers and equipment meet performance and safety standards.
- Keep an eye out for hiccups in the process and look for ways to improve operations.
- Employees should be supervised and given tasks.
- Communicate with other departments such as the financial department to create budgets the human resources department to hire new employees and the logistics department to ensure product delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in manufacturing business or engineering is preferred.
- Prior experience in management or manufacturing is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding abilities.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage members of crossfunctional teams.
- Manufacturing technical competencies (e.g. technical drawings blueprints CAD/CAM)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other industry software.
