Job Description
Knowledge of basic anatomy physiology and basic nursing functions. Requires successful completion of CPI Training as the unit is restraint free. Requires intense attention to ensure a safe environment. Ability to communicate with patients of diverse age population and multitude of cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
1 yr experience in an acute care hospital setting or related field.
A minimum of a High School education or equivalent
Rotating weekend/holiday commitment.
Preferred:
Current CPR certification
Experience on an inpatient mental health unit
Completion of an Associates or Bachelors degree program in Behavioral Health or Human Services or degree eligible.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager performs direct care to patients on our Pedi Psych floor in a restraint free environment to promote the recovery of patients. Also provides appropriate medical attention for patients requiring care in voluntary and involuntary situations under the direction of the Registered Nurse to promote the recovery of patients.
