In this paid internship you will help design simulating and hardware testing control algorithms that enable the autonomous or semiautonomous operation of advanced nuclear reactors. Reporting to the Automation Instrumentation and Controls group. This team works a 9x80 schedule and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
Minimum Requirements:
Doctorate Degree Program enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related field
Experience or coursework with control systems
A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:
Masters Internships and PhD Internships PreCandidacy $31.75/hour $34.06/hour)
PhD Internships PostCandidacy $33.75/hour $36.06/hour)
Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
