Summary
Performs a wide range of duties and services mainly at Waterloo Agronomy Location and occasionally other Gateway FS facilities. Primary responsibilities will be helping with day to day operations around the plant. May also be required to help with the application of pesticides and fertilizers. Other duties shall include but are not limited to maintenance deliveries operating and the handling of: seed chemicals fertilizer and petroleum products.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in daily operation of the waterloo fertilizer plant
Assist in sales and marketing of all products.
Unloading/loading and stacking of fertilizer seed feed and chemical product and packaging.
Operating equipment such as: forklift loader trucks and custom application equipment.
Handle load and deliver: Anhydrous Ammonia dry fertilizer seed and chemicals.
Perform housekeeping and maintenance to all equipment vehicles and facilities.
Work at various other locations as directed.
Desired Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or a one year minimum of related work experience.
Basic computer skills
Must be able to acquire chemical license
Current CDL with HAZMAT endorsement (Class A preferred) DOT Physical and Drug Test
Must be willing to work seasonally long hours and overtime when needed.
Physical Demands:
o Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
o Must be able to sit stand walk climb stoop kneel crouch and/or crawl for various lengths of time.
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
