Job Description
To provide a unique experience by offering Segway tours Bike rentals and Island Hopper rentals.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
o Work in Amelias Wheels by providing guest assistance including but not limited to: providing guests with property information on property directions providing rentals of Bicycles Island Hoppers and leading Segway tours
o Book and Manage reservations for Segway tours using Xola
o Book and Manage reservations for Island Hopper reservations using Bike Rental Management software
o Able to ride a Segway and become a certified instructor to lead property Segway tours within 60 days of hire
o Be familiar with Omni Amelia Island bike trail s and tour routes
o communication with associates and guests
o Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities Omni outlets and company events.
o Attend and participate in Amelias Wheels meetings and monthly All Together Get Together
o Assist with routine cleaning of Amelias Wheels and of equipment (e.g. sweeping emptying trash picking up organizing and inventory) (e.g. cleaning Segways Island Hoppers and Bicycles)
o Ensure all bicycles Island Hoppers and Segways are clean safe and act immediately with any concerns
o Knowledge of basic bike island hopper and Segway maintenance and repairs
o Daily maintenance of all Amelias Wheels Bicycles Island Hoppers and Segways
o Be knowledgeable of Omnis culture
o Cross Utilization
o Assist in all other aspects of the recreation department as needed to include but not limited to: group functions events Nature Center Pool/Beach Camp Amelia Herons Cove minigolf Health and Fitness and Tennis operations
o Work holiday events and special programs as schedule
Hotel Specific Functions:
o Maintain standards of guest services and consistent positive guest experience as documented by J.D. Power and AAA Ratings
o Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels culture rules and regulations
o Answer phones using the proper Moments of Service scenario
o Provide guests with cheerful personable efficient service
o Responsible for a clean and professional appearance of uniforms
o Fully understand and implement Moments of Service and Power of Engagement
o Interact with every guest using Omni Standards
o Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities and property specifics
o Actively participate in the assurance of the safety of all guests
o Treat everyone supervisors staff and guests with courtesy and respect always
Qualifications
o Must be 18 years of age or older
o Valid drivers licenses
o Able to lift and lift up to 60100 pounds occasionally and 3050 pounds repeatedly
o Able to stoop stand push pull and walk or stand for long periods of time
o Must be able to hear smell have good or corrected vision and a good sense of balance
o Associate must be able to verbally communicate clearly and effectively to various sized groups of resort guests
o Able to multitask effectively
