Weare seeking an experienced and motivated research analyst to be based in any ofthe firms three main offices. In this position you will assess political acrossEast Africa that are of relevance to Eurasia Groups financial corporate andgovernment clients. As lead analyst for East Africa you will analyze key politicaltrends including elections government stability and reform efforts. Inparticular you will be able to identify the drivers of economic policymakingwith a particular focus on Kenya as well as Ethiopia Tanzania and other EastAfrican markets. You will be able to tailor your research to be relevant to abroad range of clients across sectors such as energy retail & consumer andfinancial services.
Required skills includethe ability to conduct indepth research independently provide both clearwritten assessments and present analysis directly to clients individually andin group settings. You will therefore be a selfstarter have excellentanalytical and presentation (oral and written) skills and be capable ofproducing multiple pieces of research and analysis under tight deadlines. Youwill be able to travel regularly both to countries of coverage as well as forclient engagements. In addition to being able to work independently you willbring collaborative and teamoriented spirit.
You will have an advanceddegree in economics international relations political science or other relevantdiscipline a minimum of three years of relevant work experience includingsignificant ontheground experience. Preference will be given to candidateswith relevant language skills and applications from more experienced candidatesare welcomed.
