Job Description
Overview
Position: Field Service Technician
Departments: Service & Parts
Report to: North American Service Manager
Department goal: To provide the highest level of Technical & Customer Service to all of our customers. To be viewed in the industry as a World Class Service provider
Qualifications
Key knowledge / experience needed:
- A good understanding of industrial type equipment
- A good understanding of electrical and electrical controls
- A good understanding of electrical schematics
- A good understanding of mechanical function and repair
- Field service experience
- Good customer and reporting skills
Functions and Tasks:
- Electrical troubleshoot and repair all equipment sold
- Mechanical troubleshoot and repair all equipment sold
- To provide all technical service and support in a timely manner and in accordance with established company
- Sell Preventive Maintenance Contracts
- Sell Recommended Spare Parts
- Install all equipment sold
- Commission / Demo all equipment
- Proper paperwork must be filled out and completed prior to leaving the
- Technical phone and email support
- Parts processing when available
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Field Service troubleshoot electrical and mechanical industrial equipment issues repair and install all equipment sold at customers site. Provide electrical and mechanical technical help via phone and email. Help within the Parts Department. Travel when requested via air travel and locally via auto.
