About us
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
The single most important goal of AMAH is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.
AMAH Workforce Development and Education is a dynamic interdisciplinary team made up of clinicians and lived experience workers providing training and education to Nursing and Allied Health staff working in all areas of mental and addiction health. We work closely with management and staff to support cultural change and personal development using a collaborative approach.
What youll be doing
In this role you will effectively and efficiently perform a range of teaching roles and tasks to support and coordinate undergraduate nurses whilst on clinical placement at Alfred Health. This includes orientation of students on their first day of placement facilitating clinical placements and coordinating assessments of student performance through collaboration with allocated preceptors. Inclusive to this role is the capacity to establish an innovative range of training programs and workshops to facilitate student learning.
