Job Description:
To assist Faculty/Staff with summer projects in HSBBusiness School that includes preparing computer labs for the fall semester imaging and cleaning labs. Student workers may also be assigned to work independently on installing software and updating equipment in computer labs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist faculty/staff with imaging computer labs.
Assist faculty/staff with building/department inventory.
Assist faculty/staff with setting up new equipment in computer labs.
Assist faculty/staff with cleaning and reorganizing storage area.
Assist faculty/staff to report faulty equipment so that repairs can be performed.
Perform other special tasks as assigned by the supervisor or other members of Technology
Center in preparation for the Fall Semester.
Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
Answering or referring inquiries to the appropriate staff
General qualifications for the position:
High School or equivalent. Experience working with software and operating systems and lab computer lab equipment.
Pay Range Explanation:
Student will be working on computer lab equipment and preparing classrooms and building for the fall semester. The high end pay of $11.00 will be to students that have prior work history in the Technology Commons Lab.
- Provide lab/research support for assigned area of responsibility
- Assist with various projects activities and tasks related to University laboratories and research
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
