Job summary
This individual will not just be someone who supervises the work of others. A supervisor is also responsible for coaching resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management. The ideal candidate will be a competent individual who will be able to guide and train employees. He/She will be wellversed in processes under the roles responsibility and will be resultsdriven and focused. The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Set goalsfor performance and deadlines in ways that comply with companys plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Receive complaints and resolve problems.
Maintain and approve employee timesheets.
Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
Prepare and submit performance reports.
Decide on reward and promotion based on performance.
Assist HR in the selection of new hires.
Provide input on the hiring and training new employees.
Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
Will serve a senior leader on second shift providing feedback and coaching as appropriate for all hourly and salary second shift team members.
Must be a selfstarter and willing to do what is necessary to ensure safety quality and productivity goals are met.
Data driven leader with a continuous improvement mindset to challenge status quo.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education
High school diploma: BS/BA in management or relevant discipline will be considered an advantage
Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field
Requirements/Skills
Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Good knowledge of MS applications.
Physical Demands
Frequent walking standing stooping and reaching throughout the day.
Requires good eyehand coordination and ability to work in a fastpaced work environment.
Occasionally requires lifting 20 to 30 lbs. and may require some twisting.
