The Opportunity
The Shaw Group Limited is one of the 50 BestManaged Companies in Canada and is one of Eastern Canadas leading natural resource manufacturers and community developers. Our Lantz Site is home to both Shaw Brick and Shaw Precast Solutions.
Our maintenance department is currently looking to for a Welder to work with our Shaw Resources Maintenance Team. Our Maintenance Department is a central support resource.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be CWB certified and willing to qualify as the companies CWB site representative. This person will be safety conscious and enjoy working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Welding
Assembling Product
Operating Small hand tools
Safely working in a production environment
Cross training within the plant
Rotation into different areas of the operation as required.
Qualification Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:
23 years experience with welding (MIG welding experience would be an asset)
CWB certified.
Organized / problem solving.
Ability to follow procedures.
Team player who can ask for assistance when required.
Able to work in a fastpaced environment with commitment to safety.
Ability to lift 30lbs regularly.
