About the team
We are looking for an intermediate Cloud Platform Engineer to help build a selfservice multicloud infrastructure platform. If you are passionate about infrastructure and automation GitOps and all things Kubernetes come build with us!
Platform Engineers are engaged in all phases of the software delivery lifecycle from design through production deployment with the goal of helping our internal customers move fast. We are champions of quality and automation staying curious about emerging industry technology best practices and patterns to deliver the best platform and the highest level of quality.
What you will do
- Collaborate closely with internal customers to understand their platform needs
- Grow expertise in key platform technology areas such as orchestration observability GitOps networking Kubernetes authentication authorization resource isolation security and compliance.
- Build new platform capabilities in a datadriven way to improve platform reliability scale and resilience while delivering new platform behavior
- Relentlessly prioritize automation in every aspect of the workflow driving efficiency consistency and scalability.
- Share knowledge of industry best practices contributing to a strong engineering culture where we learn and grow as a team
What we are looking for
- Bachelors degree/diploma in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent related disciplines
- 4 years of engineering experience in a cloud development team developing infrastructure as code
- Experience with one or more public cloud platforms such as Azure Google Cloud Platform AWS in production
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting languages
- Experience with infrastructure as code especially Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with agile development practices
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
- Experience with code deployment technologies and GitOps
- Able to clearly articulate technical strategies and recommendations to peers for both functional and nonfunctional requirements
- Stay current with technology trends and use innovative and critical thinking to develop new and innovative practices
- Nice to have:
- Experience with fullstack application development leveraging objectoriented programming (OOP) principles to design build deploy and scale applications in Kubernetes (k8s) environments
- Familiarity with key security concepts such as cryptography identity and access management (IAM) and secrets management
