Job Summary
Design Engineer with technical and drafting expertise focusing on Refractory and Mechanical projects using Autodesk Inventor and other technical means.
Essential Functions May include the following:
Regular daytoday functions.
Duties that occur at irregular intervals but that are of a recurring and essential nature.
Quantity and quality of supervision received.
Quantity and quality of supervision exercised.
Amount of human interaction required (in teaching counseling coaching training etc.; extent of contacts made both inside and outside company.
Responsibility for maintaining records.
Requirements for following instructions or orders.
Responsibility for company funds.
Degree of accountability for human and material resources.
Office machines or equipment that must be operated.
Physical demands.
Emotional demands.
Other unusual demands
Prepares detailed drawings and completes mechanical drawings of components and assemblies including 3D solid models steel details and bill of materials.
Verifies work for completeness and accuracy.
Checks dimensions bill of materials and quantities.
Provides design modifications to existing products.
Revises size shape and arrangement of parts to create practical designs.
Analyzes specifications sketches engineering drawings ideas and related design data to determine critical factors affecting design of components.
Draws rough sketches and performs mathematical formulas and physical laws and uses conventional and computerized work aids to make calculations.
Performs preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final master drawings adequate for detailing parts and units of design.
Creates in conjunction with colleagues compelling technical solutions to customer problems.
Strong technical skills and motivation to learn new technologies.
Must have strong skills in Autodesk Inventor 2019 or Newer.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and communicate.
Able to speak write and read English fluently as well as possess the ability to communicate effectively within the various cultures of the countries in which business is conducted.
Ability to gather and analyze complex or diverse information and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Good mathematical skills required and the ability to conceptualize ideas or designs.
Able to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of refractory preferred.
Proficient in computer programs such as MS Office Google and others related to the industry.
