Location: The Salvation Army Owens Campus
Status: Part Time/NonExempt
MISSION STATEMENT

The Salvation Army Owens Campus in Las Vegas is looking to fill a Driver position for the Veterans Services section. The successful candidate for this position will have experience working with homeless and or atrisk veterans and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Driver position will pick up and drop off passengers to their destinations and deliver important documents to required destinations. This person will choose the best routes using maps or GPS and to be efficient and maintain a time schedule. The Driver will be required to make sure to keep all vehicles clean fueled and proper fluid levels and that vehicle maintenance is done on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a valid Nevada Driver License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check
- Minimum 5 years driving experience
- Experience working with homeless and or atrisk veterans preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents staff and community partners
- Veteran status preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk stand climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and ability to focus. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone desktop or laptop computer as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer and to understand written information.
