Job Description:
The Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing and controlling production schedules budgets and quality objectives. Manager must demonstrate strong leadership and managerial skills to lead several tasks simultaneously to achieve ontime delivery. Manager must possess significant level of expertise pertaining to Structural modifications.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
- Assist in the development of performance metrics in key areas such as Quality Cost and Schedule.
- Analyze such metrics and be able to identify trends and provide corrective action when applicable
- Facilitate selfdirected work teams provide training in core skills areas to team members and peers and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning problem resolution and process improvement
- Support production business and other processes in a teambased manufacturing environment
- Perform activities in a variety of crossfunctional areas including total quality management manufacturing systems material management and process reengineering
- Working knowledge of structural / sheet metalmodifications and assemblies.
- Requires knowledge of and planning for depotlevel maintenance and baseline modifications on various airframes.
- Must be a selfstarter and motivated.
- Must be technically proficient.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to coordinate with other functional groups and support organizations.
- Willingness and ability to have a flexible work schedule work off shifts and overtime to meet company objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 7 years Supervisor/Lead experience with general aviation military aircraft and/or aircraft modifications.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active DoD security clearance
- Must be proficient in navigating schematics and maintenance manuals as required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with heavy emphasis on Excel.
