What Youll Be Doing
The Procurement team provides sourcing and contracting services utilizing disciplined governance to enable CIBC to effectively execute against its business priorities. Procurement provides quality strategic advisory and sourcing process executions services to CIBC business clients for the supply of products and services used by CIBC with optimal balance of price risk quality and organizational impact. As the Senior Procurement Lead youll manage end to end procurement activities and focus primarily on indirect spend to support IT and nonIT categories across CIBCs HR Finance Real Estate Communications Marketing Risk and Personal and Business Banking SBUs. You will develop and present procurement strategy recommendations as part of advisory service to clients based on their business requirements and industry analysis; develop contract content independently or in partnership with a legal resource; lead the negotiation strategy alignment and contract negotiations as well as secure authorizations for agreement .

How Youll Succeed
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management Help clients meet their business goals by providing better service and value. Develops trusted adviser relationships and provide leadership and valued consulting advice to facilitate the effective management and completion of procurement initiatives. Align procurement solutions with their business objectives. This role works with Supplier Risk Stakeholders Relationship Managers and Business Lead to ensure CIBCs supplier management framework is implemented for medium to high risk or high spend supplier under the scope of responsibility.
- Risk Management & Industry Knowledge Ensure the appropriate Governance is followed and adhered to for all contracts. Keep abreast of the industry knowledge innovations and advancements in business practices and technologies.
- Influencing and Negotiations Be a strong influencer and negotiator with the ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders. Manage contract drafting negotiations and finalization approval processes. Comply with CIBCs Procurement and Supplier Governance policies and process. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues and know when to collaborate with others to build a better solution together.
- Manage Multiple Priorities Use effective selfmanagement practices to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience of a minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement and/or supplier processes practices tools and templates and principles of formal sourcing processes and ability to apply to various categories / circumstances. You maximize efficiencies processes and systems across Procurement to meet CIBC business goals. You have strong selfplanning skills sufficient to plan own assignments according to general work plans; ability to multitask plan and meet timelines. You have experience drafting various contract schedules (e.g. Scope of Work SLA etc. and have negotiated contractual terms and conditions. You also have experience developing strategy and converting it into an implementation plan to meet procurement objectives. You have strong written and oral communication influencing and negotiating skills sufficient to shape decisionmaking process on matters such as complex contract negotiations. Knowledge of ASP SaaS or Cloud based contracts would be an asset
