About our team

Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is friendly to infants children young people and their families/carers.

We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family friends and support networks.

We are a specialist multidisciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.

Our service is divided into two streams: 011 and 1226 years and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care neurodevelopmental presentations eating disorders and outreach support.

What youll be doing

The position sits within the general sector team which provides clinical assessment and intervention casemanagement and single session/brief therapy with children and young peopleaged 1226 yearsexperiencing emotional behavioral and mental health difficulties and their families. Embedded into the role are responsibilities for the provision of discipline specific consultation and assessment to clients and clinical services internal and external to ICYAMHWS.

About you

  • Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA (or the appropriate professional body):
  • Developmental Psychiatry Course or equivalent
  • Training and experience in providing child and youth mental health services
