The Role
Were looking for a sharp selfmotivated problemsolvingSenior React Native Developerto join our Platform engineering team.
As a Senior React Native Developer on the Platform team youll help ensure that CompanyCams engineers have everything they need to be happy and productive.
From small improvements to our experimentation framework to updating our eventing library to improvements to our mobile release process to exploring how we adopt reactnatives new architecture your days and cycles will be a mix of smaller and larger projects. But every day youll own a project from start to finish and be encouraged to pitch your own ideas to continually improve our platform and processes.
Most importantly youll actively contribute to the evolution of the culture and processes of a growing engineering team especially our client engineering discipline (this is what we call the devs who work in React and React Native). We want want senior devs with opinions on patterns code organization and processes to help make sure our codebases scale healthily and an interest in mentoring to help make sure our devs do too.

Okay thats how we identify work to do but how do we actually work We take a flexible approach pulling from Agile Sprints Kanban and even Shape Up. Rather than being overly prescriptive we provide guardrails and just enough constraints to keep teams moving. Each team is expected to collaborate iterate and refine their best practices to produce highquality work.
Our teams are made up of a product manager a product designer a QA engineer a senior developer and an appropriate number of engineers for the scope of your team. We also believe in intentional downtime. After delivering projects we carve out explicit time for teams to recoup explore selfdirected work and focus on what matters to themwhether thats learning new skills tackling pet projects or finally fixing that bug thats been nagging you.
We protect our engineers time treat them like adults and trust them to get their work done. Were also big on not overworking people. Put in your eight hours of focused quality work and then TURN. SLACK. OFF.No nights and weekends.
What We Ask Of You
Musthaves
These are our nonnegotiables:

- Strong experience 4 years) with and knowledge ofReact Native.
- Experience with Apollo or Redux.
- 5 or more years of experience working as a fulltime professional developer. (Not all years of experience are created equal so this one isnt set in stone).
- Reside permanently and currently somewhere in the U.S.Alas were not set up to hire outside of the U.S.
Nicetohaves
Day to day youll spend 90 of your time working in React Native but of course thats not all youll work with. While experience with the following technologies are not required (were cool with some onthejob learning) you will see them with varying levels of frequency:
- NativeiOSorAndroid experience While our app is primarily based in React Native we do have some native modules
- Web Frontend Experience: This is mobile focused role but if you have experience on the web and interest in contributing there are well wed love to chat more about it. We utilize React with Typescript for our web frontend.
- Android Studio & Xcode (mainly to run the mobile app)
- GraphQL & REST
Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our salary range is $165000 $175000per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
