Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a Handyperson/Painter to join our team on a Part time basis.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 20 hours a week
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Carry out a range of painting decorating and handyman tasks
- Undertake plastering repairs and patching walls within the airconditioned hotel environment perform miscellaneous maintenance and minor repairs such as but not restricted to replacing light bulbs door locks etc.
- Undertake maintenance projects as and when required
- Keeping the overall Hotel appearance at peak level
- Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures requirements and standards
To be successful in this role the applicant must possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role and awareness of residential and or commercial painting.
- Passion and pride for providing an excellent product and good organizational and time management skills.
- Skills to execute workmanship to a high standard
- Demonstrated experience working unsupervised and under time constraints
- Attention to detail ability to work unsupervised and willingness to assist with other maintenance when required.
- Professional approach in dealing with guests and other staff members whilst carrying out your daily tasks.
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties at to be able to work at heights including working overhead
- Willingness to assist with other maintenance tasks when required
