Job Description

Posting for: Chief Development Officer

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley is searching for an experienced and accomplished resource development leader to work in partnership with a CEO that understands the process and magic of major gift fundraising. The CEOs support of philanthropy and already wellestablished expectations of the Board supply a strong foundation for continued growth.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley has a strong fundraising track record and the individual selected for this opportunity should be able to leverage that success to design and implement a comprehensive fund development program that further advances the organizations service to over 16000 young people each year.

The Chief Development Officers core responsibilities include working with the CEO and Board to plan and execute comprehensive resource development strategies and monitor progress toward goals. This position also helps position the Board to cultivate and solicit major gifts and grants from individuals corporations foundations United Way government agencies and others and leads and directs a team of resource development personnel.

Qualifications include a majority combination of the following:

Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited college or University
Certified FundRaising Executive (CFRE)
Minimum of three years of successful resource development experience
Supervisory skills

In addition the person selected for this position will possess and demonstrate the following:

An ability to nurture and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff board members volunteers community groups and other related agencies.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey information in a timely open and clear manner.
Missiondriven and valuesbased motivations.
A growth mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning.
