We are currently seeking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic JavaSoftware Engineer to strengthen our team of software and system engineers to develop a new control software for Gateway the first international space station around the Moon.The main objective will be to develop software and implement new components in the systems.

What youll do
- Develop the Monitoring & Control System for Gateway the first international space station around the Moon
- Design and implement subcomponents of the system in compliance with the overall system architecture
- Createtechnical documentation of implementation in Wiki system and UML Model
- Support proactive evolution of current technology stack throughout the initial development phase and subsequent maintenance phase
What we are looking for
- Auniversitydegree incomputer scienceengineering or in a similar subject
- Proficientin Java 11/17Apache Karaf (OSGi) FrameworkOSGimethodologyand Kubernetes
- DevOps mindset and experience in CI/CD pipelines based on Nexus Jenkins Git and Docker
- Experience in agile software development lifecycles with theAtlassian Tool Suite
- Experience in Linux environments and supplementary scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python)
- Fluency in English
- The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Experience in webfrontend development based on the React framework
- Experience in ApacheService MixplatformandApache Kafka
- EU nationality required
- It is required to work onsite at least 1x/week
