Jail Addictions Services isseekingfor an enthusiastictermtherapist who is passionate about working with youthful offenders who believes in the power of therapeutic services to inspire growth and healing. Join our dynamic team and be a part of a mission driven group of professionals dedicated to providing trauma informed mental health services to incarcerated youth.
As aTermLicensed Therapist working with youth in a correctional setting you will play a pivotal role in supporting their emotional and psychological wellbeing. This position will focus on helping young individuals navigate challenges processtraumaand develop the skills necessary for rehabilitation and reintegration into society.This position is term and expires on 07/01/25 if grant approved position will be extended.

Provide individual and group therapy sessions.
Assessdiagnoseand develop treatment plans for incarcerated Adolescents.
Use Trauma informed and culturally responsive approaches to address emotional regulation and develop coping skills.
Collaborate with team & Correctional staff to provide comprehensive care and advocacy.
Document in electronic health records client progress.

If filled Therapist I Level:
Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with aMasters Degree in clinicalorcounselingpsychology social work marriage and family therapy nursing or a relatedbehavioralscience field.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:One of the following licenses issued by the State of Maryland must be held prior to appointment andmaintainedby the employee:
Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW;
Licensed Graduate ProfessionalCounselor(LGPC;
Licensed Graduate Alcohol and DrugCounselor(LGADC); or
Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT)
Note:There will be no substitutions for this requirement.
Possession and maintenance at all times of a: Valid Class C (or equivalent) drivers license from the applicants state of residence is required for this role.
If filled at the Therapist II Level:
Education:Graduation from an accredited college or university with aMasters Degree in clinicalor counselling psychology social work marriage and family therapy nursing or a relatedBehavioralscience field.
Experience:Two 2 years of professional experiencerenderingtherapeutic counselling social worknursingor psychology services as pertinent to ones professional licensing.

License Requirement:One of the following licenses issued by the State of Maryland must be held prior to appointment of andmaintainedby the employee:
Licensed Clinical ProfessionalCounselor(LCPC;

Experience in conducting thorough clinical assessment and record review with strong diagnostic skill.

Establish positive working relationships with other employeesclientsand their families other
agencies and the public.
Follow directions in a professional manner; prepare reports and document client services ina timely
and professional manner.
Work within a team and collaborate with team members
