About the Role
Redhorse transforms how the government uses data and technology. As a Software Engineer you will play a vital role in developing maintaining and enhancing complex software systems that process massive datasets implement innovative algorithms and support realtime operations. Your work will directly impact missioncritical applications and contribute to Redhorses success in delivering cuttingedge solutions to our government clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects collaborating with a team of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards conferring with users or system engineers and investigating problem areas.
- Modify existing software to correct errors adapt to new hardware or improve performance.
- Design develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
Required Experience
- Fourteen 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. (Four 4 years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree).
- TS/SCI with Poly required to start
Desired Experience
- Experience serving as a team lead in a software development project.
- Design or implementation of complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
- Development or implementation of algorithms adhering to strict timing system resource or interface constraints.
- Experience with DataBricks GitLab Jira and Spark.
- Performance of quality control on team products.
- Experience overseeing multiple software development teams.
- Conferring with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements.
- Coordination of software system installation and monitoring equipment functioning.
