Position : SaaS Accountant
Working Schedule : 8a5p CEST (Germany)
Salary Range :$2000$2500 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced SaaS Accountant to join our finance team. In this role you will be responsible for managing financial operations analyzing revenue streams ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insights to optimize financial performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in SaaS business models subscriptionbased revenue recognition and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts receivable accounts payable and general ledger reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate revenue and other applicable standards.
- Manage subscriptionbased revenue models deferred revenue and key SaaS financial metrics
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Assist in financial planning cash flow forecasting and variance analysis to drive strategic decisionmaking.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations tax laws and internal controls while assisting with audits and tax filings.
- Identify and implement process automation and efficiency improvements using financial software and tools.
- Work closely with finance sales and operations teams to optimize financial performance and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3 years of experience in accounting preferably in a SaaS or subscriptionbased business.
- Proficient in HubSpot
- Proficient in Xero Accounting Software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in Revolut banking
- Experience in VAT and Tax declarations
- Experience running payroll
- Proficiency in accounting software and SaaS billing tools.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and attentiontodetail skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English / German
- Software Dext
- Knowledge of Datev Accounting Software
- Knowledge of Bexio Accounting Software
- Experience with FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) in a SaaS company.
- Knowledge of tax implications for SaaS businesses including international revenue considerations.
